Fault analysis of hammer mill

Hammer mill is widely used in the pulverization of pharmaceutical, industrial and food. Now, the causes of several common faults of the crusher are analyzed as follows:
1. Reasons for severe wear of the hammer:
1 The surface is not properly heat treated, because the hammer is made of high-quality steel, the head is carburized and quenched, and the quenching hardness is hrc60-65. If the heat treatment is improper, it will wear out quickly during use;
2The thickness of the hammer is small. Because the pulverizer is commonly used in rectangular double-pin hole hammers, its service life is 200-500 hours. Although the thickness is small, the weight can be reduced and the pulverization productivity is improved, but the service life is short, and the hammer for pulverizing the grain is generally used. Choose 2 ~ 3mm, crush the bean cake and minerals to choose 6 ~ 8mm;
3 The amount of suction is too large, because the hammer mill generally adopts suction measures to reduce the temperature and humidity inside the machine and prevent the dust from leaking out. However, if the suction volume is too large, the hammer will be unevenly worn, and the air volume should be properly controlled. ;
4 The gap between the hammer and the sieve is too small, generally should be kept at 4 ~ 12mm, the crushed grain is 4 ~ 8mm, and the crushed straw is 10 ~ 14mm.
Â 2. Reasons for vibration and noise during machine operation:
1 The base is not securely installed and the fastening screws are loose;
2 After the hammer pieces are worn, they are not replaced in pairs at the same time, or the hammer pieces are unevenly worn, resulting in a large difference in the weight of the hammer pieces;
3 The rotor rotates unbalanced and the speed exceeds the rated speed;
4 The material is mixed with foreign matter such as stones or metal to cause noise, and it will damage the hammer and the screen. 3. Reasons for a significant decline in productivity:
1 motor power is insufficient or the supporting power is not suitable;
2 If the rotor speed is too low or the belt is slippery, check whether the pulley size meets the requirements or adjust the belt tightness;
3 uneven feeding causes the speed of the pulverizer to be unstable, resulting in a decrease in productivity;
4 The hammer is seriously worn, and the gap between the hammer and the sieve is too large;
5 The moisture content of the material is too high.
4. Reasons why the finished product is too thick:
1 The sieve and the screen frame are not tightly attached or the side gap is too large;
2 The screen is severely worn or has holes. The holes should be repaired or replaced with new ones.
